Lisinski is a local proof-of-authority Ethereum testnet in Croatia.
What's a testnet?
Lisinski is a testnet inspired by the Goerli testnet and using the Clique PoA consensus, which means it's compatible with both Geth and Parity. It's the first local testnet allowing for the testing of both clients at the same time. Focusing on the local sphere allows us to break things and learn on mistakes while also letting us play with expensive contracts that need a lot of LEth (Lisinski ether).
Apart from being a playground, Lisinski is also a classroom - the aim is to have an environment in which the Croatian Ethereum community could grow, ask for help, or maybe even have a testnet to hack on during some hackathons. On the other hand, the local isolation of this testnet also helps us develop proof of concept contracts and dapps to present to governments, companies and NGOs that are currently afraid of blockchain and thus resistant to legitimize it in this area.
How do I use Lisinski?
A guide is being prepared and is coming soon. Stay tuned.
How do I check how the network is doing?
You can see stats at https://status.lisinski.online and a basic explorer at http://126.96.36.199:8080/. Both UIs are still under construction and will likely change in the coming weeks.
How do I become a validator?
Right now, you don't unless you're from this area. If you are from this area (Croatia and neighboring countries) make a candidacy issue, generate a vanity address that starts with
0x385 (the MEW VanityEth tool will help you there) and explain why you'd like to become a validator and what you can bring to the table in terms of execution / education / manpower. A voting period of a few days will begin and you'll be notified of the outcome.
How do I get LEth?
Ask one of the current validators. A faucet is coming soon.
Where can I talk to you all?
